Corature Team
In time it would be nice to have a long list of people here. We aren’t there yet. I use the term “we” loosely.
In late 2015 the brand corature came into existence by Jacob Robert Williamson.
Corature in its current form is a d/b/a under reveilli Inc. A North Carolina Corporation founded (paperwork wise) in March 2024. The Secretary of State of North Carolina filed the paperwork on 19 March 2024.
The President of reveilli Inc. operates the brand corature. His details are below.
Born 30 November 1982 in Rochester, New York, USA Jacob Robert Williamson grew up in the Town of Chili. After graduating Gates-Chili High School he departed his hometown for the United States Navy. He signed up to became a Information Systems Technician after his attempt to become a Military Police Officer (Master at Arms) was denied. All of the slots were full at the time and he was told to pick something else. He had the choice between being an IT or a Mineman. He opted for IT work.
After IT “A” school he was sent to go work on an Admiral’s Staff on Okinawa, Japan – Command Task Force 76. He loved the island, the people, and his deployments around the Asian region. He deployed on the USS Essex, the USS Safeguard, and to work alongside the Thai Military in joint training exercise Cobra Gold held in Utaphao, Thailand during two consecutive years.
Upon leaving Active Duty he moved to Chapel Hill, NC. During his short time living there he pursued a couple of different “business ventures” which were both failures. He pressure washed houses and and started a vacation package business.
He didn’t adjust well to Civilian life so he decided to give Military Policing another attempt. He served on the Navy Auxiliary Security Forces on Okinawa so when he spoke to the Recruiter he requested to join the U.S Navy Reserves under the promise that he would deploy as soon as possible and change his “rating” (job title) to Master at Arms. Both requests were granted and he soon found himself undergoing pre-deployment training on Fort Jackson and Fort lewis to go to Kuwait.
While in Kuwait it was requested of him that he put his IT “skills” to use and serve the Command as both the Information Management Officer and the OPSEC Officer. He didn’t seem to have much choice in the matter so his escape from IT work didn’t end up lasting very long..
Shortly after leaving Kuwait he made his way up into Iraq to work at an IT Help Desk – this time wearing civilian clothes. From Iraq he moved to Bangkok, Thailand and studied Entrepreneurship at Bangkok University International College.
After a few Semesters of study he was offered a “IT” position in Afghanistan – which he accepted. He had a daughter making her way into the world soon and college studies unfortunately did not pay as well as hazardous duty work.
While in Afghanistan he worked at a Help Desk prior to moving over to the Computer Network side of the house. He began his stint in Afghanistan with ITT, the same company that he worked for in Iraq, and later moved across the street to work with GDIT.
He spent time in Kabul, Jalalabad, and in various other locations but for shorter periods of time. He often flew on helicopters to go site-to-site fixing IT related issues or to fill in while others went on vacation. He dabbled in various personal business ventures in his free time from a real estate website that never quite got off the ground, to an Android Application that went on to receive over 500,000 downloads, to a short book or “quick stop guide” about avoiding pitfalls while building a mobile app. He was bored after work…
After more than 2.5 years working “IT” in Afghanistan he returned to Bangkok full-time and resumed his studies at Bangkok University International College / BUSEM while raising his family. His daughter was getting old and he was missing out on what matters most in life.
While in University he launched Corature. Initially with only 2 products and then onto building out a wider range of fashion accessories. Corature grew fast and America’s Number 1 daytime TV show (at the time) The Price is Right even contacted him to give away products to their live audience – within 1 year of launch.
When Corature began to experience some tough times he accepted a job offer at a company called “Chilindo” to build a bicycle brand. He traveled around China quite often going factory to factory searching for a location to build his bicycles. He often visited fairs, wholesale markets, and suppliers pursuing various other products for purchase as well. From kick scooters to power tools the company and team that he worked with purchased thousands of different products.
He built STX Direct to sell Chilindo products (utilizing Chilindo resources) on various other platforms to help the company grow. Stores were launched on Qoo10, Shopee Thailand and Malaysia, Lazada, and the WeMall platform. STX Direct was awarded “Top Seller Growth” and was told it was the fastest growing and highest volume seller account on the platform.
